Hi, I’m Cass, and I’ve been meal planning for longer than I care to think about.
I originally started Meal Planning because I’d been sharing my weekly meal plans over on The Diary of a Frugal Family for years and realised just how many people were looking for practical help with planning what to eat.
For me, meal planning has never been about beautifully organised spreadsheets, cooking everything from scratch or knowing exactly what we’ll fancy for tea next Thursday. It’s simply about making life a bit easier.
If I don’t make a meal plan, I spend more money, waste more food and inevitably find myself standing in front of the fridge at teatime wondering what on earth I can make with half a pepper, some cheese and whatever else needs using up.
Over the years, I’ve learned what works for us and, probably more importantly, what doesn’t. This site is where I share all of that — weekly meal plans, easy family recipes, batch cooking ideas, ways to use up leftovers and plenty of practical tips to help you spend less on food without making mealtimes feel like hard work.
You won’t find perfect meal plans here. You will find realistic ones that change when life gets in the way, recipes that I actually make and ideas that I genuinely use myself.
You can also find me over at The Diary of a Frugal Family, where I write about all the other ways I try to make the most of our money and live well without spending a fortune.
Thanks for reading,
Cass x
