Easy Crab, Lemon and Chilli Tagliatelle…

This Easy Crab, Lemon and Chilli Tagliatelle is a real treat for us so when we saw some reduced price crab in the fish section of our local supermarket, we couldn’t resist!

Crab, Lemon and Chilli Tagliatelle

My husband declared that there was no way he was going to eat crab.  Ever.

I think his childhood memories of it are from the seaside where you could buy cooked crabs claws from a little stand by the beach or people used to queue up waiting for the fishing boats to come back with their catch so they could buy the freshest of fresh seafood.

These days, the fisherman aren’t allowed to sell direct to the public, the little fish stall has closed down long ago and even the fresh fish shop in our seaside town has closed.  The only place to get crab meat is our local supermarket and whilst it’s not as fresh as it was when I was little, it also comes in a neat little tub all ready to add to dishes like this one making it much easier to cook with and nowhere near as smelly as I remember from when I was a child. 😉

It’s also much more expensive these days at £4 for a small 100g tub so when we saw some in the reduced section, I decided that now was the time to force persuade him to try crab meat for the first time.

The lemon and chilli combination works really well with this and he declared that he’s now a crab fan.
