Easy Crab, Lemon and Chilli Tagliatelle…
This Easy Crab, Lemon and Chilli Tagliatelle is a perfect meal for warm summer nights as the lemon and chilli give it such a lovely fresh flavour!

I’d never tried crab until recently, mainly because it brings back memories of the awful-smelling little fresh fish stall on the sea front that my Dad used to take me to when he fancied crab for his tea. I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure it used to be called dressed crab. I think they took all the crab meat out of the shell, did something fancy to it, and put it all back into the shell.
I hated the smell of that little stall and hated standing in the long queue of people who would wait for the fishing boats to come back with their daily catch so they could buy the freshest of fresh seafood as well as the fancy crabs.
These days, the fisherman aren’t allowed to sell direct to the public, the little fish stall has closed down long ago and even the fresh fish shop in our seaside town has closed. The only place to get crab meat is our local supermarket and whilst it’s not as fresh as it was when I was little, it also comes in a neat little tub all ready to add to dishes like this one making it much easier to cook with and nowhere near as smelly as I remember from when I was a child. 😉
The lemon and chilli combination works really well with this and I’m pretty sure that my Dad would be proud that I’d finally tried one of his favourite foods even though I don’t think he’d approve of me buying it in a tin instead of fresh. 😂
This Easy Crab, Lemon and Chilli Tagliatelle is super tasty and a perfect light supper of lunch for two of you.
